Drum roll, please! The prestigious group of honorees for our 2019 Gala includes:
- Dawna Michelle Fields (Mount Vernon), National Program Manager – Bright Smiles, Bright Futures, NA, Colgate-Palmolive Company
- GEM Management Partners LLC (Yonkers), George Nukho, Edward Nukho, and Michael Nukho
- Sonny Hagendorf (New Rochelle), President, Columbian Stamp Company Inc.
“This year’s honorees are a wonderful example of partners and friends who are committed to helping create a Westchester where everyone, regardless of age or circumstance, has the opportunity to learn, work, and thrive,” says Mitzi Ambrose-Washington, co-chair of the event. “They are all leaders in helping to remove the barriers that some of our most vulnerable neighbors face when it comes to treatment for mental health or substance use issues, education, housing, and employment.”
Since the cocktail hour and hors d'oeuvres are everyone’s favorite part of a large event, TGCW’s annual party is held in a grand cocktail format. The entire night features passed and stationed hors d'oeuvres as well as an open bar, meaning that no guests are subjected to the dreaded “rubber chicken dinner.” The night will feature awards, as well as lively silent and live auctions.
The event takes place 6:30 – 9:30 PM on Tuesday, May 14 at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle. Those interested in learning more about the Gala email Events@TheGuidanceCenter.org. Tickets are available from $275 and sponsorships from $1,500. Get your tickets today.
The Gala is the largest source of unrestricted funds which help support the many programs and services offered by TGCW. Each year, more than 5,000 people challenged by mental illness, substance abuse, poverty, and homelessness turn to the agency for help and support. TGCW empowers our participants to become active members of their community through education, treatment, housing, and rehabilitative and vocational services.
