1942 - Today: Our History

During the 1940s, a group of women became concerned about how World War II was impacting the social and emotional development of children – thus The Guidance Center was formed, the first clinic of its kind in Westchester County.

While our programs and services have changed over the decades, The Guidance Center remains a premiere agency for Westchester residents seeking help for social, emotional or behavioral health care needs.
