Parents Place
In 2010, The Guidance Center acquired Parents Place, a well respected parent/child center located on Carhart Avenue in White Plains.
Parents Place is open to families with very young children (newborn to 5 years old). Here, parents come together to socialize, share experiences, and discuss concerns with each other and with qualified, professional staff who specialize in parenting issues specific to very young children.
Parents Place uses a "drop-in" model, with no prior registration required. A nominal fee (beginning at $8 per session) is requested.

Hours & Schedule:
Parents Place is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Parents Place follows the White Plains Public Schools calendar. Parents Place is closed in August, and reopens on Tuesday, September 7, 2010. In inclement weather, Parents Place is closed when the White Plains public schools are closed or have a delayed opening. If in doubt, please call: 914-948-5187

Rates:
$8 for 1 sesssion / $15 for 2 sessions / $20 for 3 sessions. Scholarships are available.

Directions:
Carhart Avenue is directly off Mamaroneck Avenue in the business district of White Plains, and is easily accessible from I-287 (Exit 8), the Bronx River Parkway (Exit 21), and the Hutchinson River Parkway (exit 23 toward White Plains).
For easiest access to Parents Place, use the Waller Avenue entrance, located on Waller Avenue at the corner of Waller Avenue and Carhart Avenue.
Parking meters (
2 and 3 hour) are in the outdoor lot, located at the corner of Waller Avenue and Maple Avenue, one block from Parents Place.
