Supported Housing
We understand the connection between home and well-being. Through our Supported Housing programs, The Guidance Center helps individuals find and secure housing, which strengthens their lives and also the community.
Our Supported Housing programs helps over 100 people each year.
Shelter Plus Cares
The Guidance Center helps homeless adults who suffer from serious and persistent mental illness, chemical abuse or who have HIV/AIDS find and maintain suitable housing.
Community Residences
Up to 11 psychiatrically disabled adults can live in this single room occupancy (SRO) home. This enables individuals to have a sense of independence while still receiving medication monitoring, counseling and crisis intervention.
Supported Housing
Our Supported Housing allows individuals to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. The program provides permanent housing while case managers teach each client the skills needed to maintain independent living. Links are made to our Vocational Services Department as well as other community based programs that can help each person gain employment.
All programs are implemented according to HUD/State/Federal guidelines. Our Supported Housing sites are located throughout Westchester County. To protect the confidentiality and privacy of our residents, the specific addresses are not listed on this page.
