Spirit of the Holidays: Donate a Children's Book
At any age, a good book stirs the imagination, warms the heart and feeds the mind. Reading to children during their early years helps young minds develop and lays the ground work for future literacy independence. Yet, some families cannot afford to purchase books for their children.
Help The Guidance Center encourage early literacy development in those children enrolled in our early childhood programs (up to age 5) by donating a new or “like new” children’s book.
Not sure what to get? Just think of the classic titles you either personally enjoyed or read (endlessly) to your own kids.
If you have books to donate, please contact Donna Morrison, Early Childhood Director, at 914.636.4440 x210 or DMorrison@TheGuidanceCenter.org. The Guidance Center's main office is located at 70 Grand Street, New Rochelle, NY 10801.
Thank you for helping these young students learn and thrive.
