PROS is a comprehensive rehabilitative program for adults who have serious mental illness. The goal is to help participants achieve personal levels of satisfaction for employment, education, housing, relationships, and community involvement. PROS is for people who are 18 years and older.
Recovery counselors work with participants to develop an individual recovery plan that aligns with the individual's life goals and objectives. Participants choose which of the 70+ weekly PROS courses are best suited to help them achieve their plan.
Courses help participants learn or improve skills so that they can live independently, work, socialize, develop healthy relationships, or achieve goals related to education, training, or improved health and wellness.
Courses include high school equivalency (HSE), music, arts, horticultural, and Zumba in addition to many others. Participants appreciate our spacious, attractive setting, complete with an outdoor terrace, and computer lab. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily.
At PROS, learning and recovery is a supportive, community experience. Special events include karaoke days and guest lectures on topics such as graphics and animation, gardening and nutrition, and music and song writing. PROS participants are encouraged to explore their feelings and discover themselves through various platforms (art, music, written word, spoken word).
