Ways to donate

Thanks to people like you, every day we are able help our program participants achieve big and small victories. Whether it’s coping with mental illness, conquering addiction, learning to live on one’s own, completing a high school education, or getting a job, those we support are thriving because of generous friends and supporters. The Guidance Center of Westchester is supported through the Access: Supports for Living Foundation and is a 501(c) (3) organization. Your contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Other types of donations

Other types of donations that we gratefully accept are:

Gifts of stock/securities: There can be specific tax advantages for donating securities. Check with your advisor on the specific benefits to you.

Matching gifts: Many corporations offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Many of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift. Your human resources department will have the details on your matching gifts program or follow the link here:.

Monthly credit card automatic payment/pledge: You can spread your donation over time and make donations from your credit card monthly, quarterly, or semi-annually. We can charge your credit card as requested.

Foundation/corporate giving: We apply for and receive grants from foundations and corporations who through their philanthropic goals align with our Foundation’s mission. We’re always looking for friends and supporters who can help facilitate such a grant.

Planned gifts: Estate gifts are a meaningful way to support the Foundation while receiving tax benefits and ensuring the long-term financial future of our system of services. Donors of planned gifts who remember the Foundation in their will, designate us as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or other planned giving vehicles will be recognized for their generosity.

By supporting the Foundation through estate planning, our benefactors will help ensure that the Foundation realizes its mission of improving the well-being of people of all ages through innovative and effective programs that enable everyone to learn, work and thrive.

We will not sell, share or trade our donor names or personal information with any other entity, nor send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations.

This policy applies to all information received both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications.

To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider (such as for a matching gift from your company), donor information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.
