Employment & Vocational Services

TGCW helped me get (vocational) testing so I could start on a new career path despite my history with substance abuse and incarceration. TGCW gave me the chance to start over.

Our vocational services provide training, educational support, and job coaching to help people gain employment. We work with people who have mental health and substance use disorders, as well as young adults who did not attain a high school diploma and those looking to improve their skills and training to gain employment.

Vocational Assistance Project (VAP)

VAP helps people who have substance use disorders and are enrolled in one of three substance use treatment programs in the county. Counselors help participants overcome barriers to accessing, maintaining, or returning to employment. They work to develop personal vocational goals and maintain long-term recovery from substance use. We provide, assessments, goal setting, and resume, interview, and job support.
