Learn to save a life: Narcan training May 23

The heroin, fentanyl, and opioid epidemic has taken too many. Narcan® saves lives. Trained individuals are allowed to possess and administer Narcan® to a person having an overdose.

As part of the Access: Network, The Guidance Center is offering free Narcan® training, 5:30-7:00 PM on Monday, May 23 at 256 Washington Street in Mount Vernon. There is free parking on site. Register here.

Participants will learn prevention strategies, signs and symptoms of an overdose, how to administer Narcan®, and support information and resources. Upon completion, participants will receive a two-year certification card and a Narcan® nasal spray kit.

Proof of vaccination is not required; however, participants are required to wear a mask.

As part of the Access: Network, additional trainings are taking place May 23 in Middletown, NY and June 14 in Queens. Email for information on those trainings.

Register here for any of the sessions.
